The springtime event Brda & Vino has a long-standing tradition in the Brda region. While it was once considered primarily a wine-focused event for connoisseurs and wine lovers, the festival has evolved significantly in recent years. It has grown both in terms of wine and gastronomy, becoming the largest enogastronomic event in the wider region. Simple dishes have been replaced by original and refined creations, perfectly paired with top-quality Brda wines.

The heart of the event is the picturesque medieval village of Šmartno, located in the geographical centre of the Brda region. Along its narrow streets, more than 30 local and guest restaurants present their cuisine live, alongside almost all Brda winemakers.

Visitors can enjoy unlimited tastings of freshly prepared dishes by renowned chefs, experience a relaxed and convivial atmosphere, and explore harmonious food and wine pairings. They can also visit the market offering a diverse selection of gastronomic and artisanal products, including Brda honey, olive oil, dried fruit, teas, cheeses, jams and other boutique products.

This year, the programme will be enhanced with cooking shows by selected hospitality providers and guided wine tastings, which were extremely well attended last year. While workshops will be part of the event, advance registration will be required; cooking shows will take place outdoors and will be accessible to all visitors.

A special new feature this year is the presentation of a guest wine region, which we aim to further develop in the coming years. Representatives of another wine-growing area will be invited to Brda to present their region as a whole – through wine, gastronomy and the story of their territory.

The programme will be further enriched with music and artistic elements, ensuring a day filled with great food, wine and excellent company—an experience that will be engaging, flavourful and truly unforgettable.

The price includes unlimited tastings of premium wines and freshly prepared dishes, a rich programme of street music and entertainment, and a tasting glass with holder.
